It was mostly an accident that I even took the test! I had one from when we thought we might be pregnant around 6 months before that! I thought- Oh hey- thats just sitting there, I'll pee on it! And then.... it was positive! WHAT???? So I took another! and another.... and another! Hahahaha! We knew by that night ( and 5 tests later ) that it was really happening! I managed to keep it under wraps for a few days. I took Mom out to lunch about 3 days before my birthday- and presented her with a gift. A box with a locket- and colored tiny baby rattles inside. Inside the locket was a note saying, " You're going to be a Grandma!" She was so excited she started crying at the restaurant! We were having mexican food, I remember that. Dad came up to the sign shop after we got back from lunch- and I had meant to make him a t-shirt that said, "Worlds Best Grandpa", but Mom was getting ready to POP with excitement so I let her show him the locket and box I had gotten her. It took him a minute- but he understood and was all smiles and Congratulations! We went to The Dr. and got the official "positive" and saw how far along we were a little while after that. 8 weeks and one day! Our little Jelly Bean Peanut was on its way! About 2 days after my Birthday, I got sooo sick. I was unbelievably nauseous all day every day. The Dr. was able to give me an Rx for it- but it made me crazy sleepy! And then came the hormones! Poor Sebastian had to deal with me crying quite a bit!
And so- life continued on through the spring. The first nice day we'd had in a while coincidently happened on the same day as ColorFest. It has gotten pretty big here in Utah, many thousands of people coming!
But still feeling Mostly like I was just over eating and chubby instead of preggers!
Here's a month or two later on!
Lets see, that would have been around... July I think.
And now one of the last ones before things got Super Exciting! Probably in... September I think.
